The Atlanta Beltline Partnership announced Thursday they have adopted a retriever/hound mix from the Atlanta Humane Society (AHS) Howell Mill Campus – and now have a new puppy mascot.
The Beltline has also kicked off a contest to name its new mascot — a cute, female pup with brown eyes and light brown ears.
To submit a name for the newest member of the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, can check out additional details and instructions on social media accounts listed below:
The adoption is part of a new partnership between the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Merial, the maker of Frontline Plus and Heartguard Plus and other medication for dogs, and the Atlanta Humane Society. Merial donates all the flea, tick and heart worm medications used for all the animals at the Atlanta Humane Society.
The puppy is being cared for by the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership’s executive director, Chuck Meadows and his family which includes his wife, two young children and an older dog.
This pup will also be the face of dogs for the Atlanta Beltline, which prides itself on being a dog-friendly destination for pets. Expect to see this new mascot making regular appearances along the Beltline.
