Need a job? Consider healthcare.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has released employment projections for the next ten years and when it comes to job growth, healthcare is the way to go.

Healthcare occupations and industries are expected to have the fastest growth and add the most jobs through 2024, BLS reported on Tuesday.

This is something that’s been on the horizon for a while as the population gets older and the labor force begins to shrink. Healthcare support occupations, healthcare practitioners, along with technical operations, are projected to be the two fastest growing occupational groups accounting for 1 in 4 new jobs in the next decade.

These are not healthcare jobs that require years of medical school. While the highest paying jobs in healthcare require a bachelor’s or master’s degree, quite a few have educational requirements of bachelor’s degree or less.
