Tamar Braxton said her recent health scare has changed her perspective on pregnancy.
Braxton — the former Atlantan, who is a singer, sister and star of WETV’s Tamar and Vince — is making a special appearance on Dr. Oz Feb. 25 to discuss the blood clots that forced her to leave Dancing With the Stars.
“I could’ve died,” Braxton tells In Touch magazine. “I’m just now feeling back to the old Tay, finally.”
Braxton, the mother of two-year-old son Logan, said she is also now looking forward to possibly having more children.
“If you asked me before I got sick, I probably would’ve said no. But now I would love to have more kids. I just have to get 100 percent healthy first,” she said.
The whole experience with illness forced her to listen to her body, she said. She has learned to take time to relax when she’s tired and she is better at letting people know when she feels overwhelmed.
While she loves Dancing With the Stars, don’t hold your breath for her to return.
“I have self-esteem issues from being bullied in school, and when you work hard on a dance the last thing you should hear is criticism,” Braxton said. “I love the show, but I don’t think I can do it again.”
