The veteran journalist for NPR got a social media boost Wednesday morning after asking presidential candidate Donald Trump the tough questions on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

Roberts asked Trump about his stance on immigration and the impact it is having on children — specifically, white children taunting brown children at school and telling them they will be deported if Trump is elected president.

Trump said he had never heard of such a thing happening until Roberts said it and that he thought Roberts’ question was nasty. He also said, what he is opposed to is illegal immigration.
