Atlanta woman inspires movement against street harassment

The Atlanta woman who started sounding off about street harassment on Twitter with #NoWomanEver, has watched her small movement go viral.

After almost a week, women are still offering up (with a healthy dose of snark) all the things no woman ever wants a man to do to get her attention.

“Ceej,” whose profile lists her as from the Buckhead/Vinings/ Sandy Springs area resurrected the hashtag on June 18 (it has been used in various capacities as early as 2012/2013) and watched as women began to pick up the charge and share their stories.

In addition to media coverage, the movement got a Facebook shout on Friday from actor Ashton Kutcher:

And if you’re one of those guys being called out for bad behavior…maybe think twice before you speak.

What is the general description of these men making comments to strangers? Is that a bigoted query?

Ashton, is it acceptable behavior to cheat on your wife on your anniversary?

confused and stupid more like it

It is all context.

Men are confused not stupid. The same women squaking about this "street attention" are the same ones who would take a big fat check for hawking some product by jacking up to it in media looking like a sex kitten.

Selective purity is the top of the flim flam game.

Really? The same women? Can you spot the ones getting big checks as soon as you see them on the street? Do you have a list of names? Or do you think all women are the same? Does the behaviour of one woman justify you bring a jerk to all the rest?
