If you missed the Frontline program chronicling Donald Trump’s road to the White House, you can now add it to your home collection.
This month, ” Frontline: Trump’s Road to the White House,” was released on DVD.
The film, which first debuted in late January, documents how Trump defied the expectations of many to become the 45th president of the United States.
Through interviews with key players including campaign advisor, David Bossie; campaign pollster, Tony Fabrizio; and of course, campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, the documentary follows Trump’s unprecedented campaign for president right up to his unexpected win.
Conway describes in detail the moment when Hillary Clinton called Trump to concede the race in a minute-long phone call.
“It was an Omigod moment. It was euphoria that we had won the election that no one thought we could win,” said Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY).
Starting with Trump’s winning moment, the film traces how Trump rallied supporters and defeated his adversaries in the 17 months leading up to the election. Insiders reveal how at each turn, Republicans were sure Trump’s campaign was toast, but each time he rose again stronger.
Though Trump was up against establishment Republicans, he managed to squash them all by simultaneously repelling Americans and convincing them of his authenticity.
The 60 minute program costs $24.99 on DVD and is available for digital download now on PBS.org.
